Wolaita Sodo University offers various undergraduate degree programs both in the regular and Continuous Education Program division. Currently, the University is running different programs at BSc/ BA/ BEd/ LLB levels where students' registration is based on the Ministry of Education standard.

The existing academic units in the university comprise the Faculty of Health Science (FHS), Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE), Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH), Faculty of Natural and Computational Sciences (FNCS), School of Technology (SoT), School of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Agriculture (FoA), and School of Law (SoL).
