About
Wondimagegnehu Tekalign (Ph.D.) is an Associate Professor of Animal Ecology and Wildlife Conservation in the College of Natural and Computational Sciences, Wolaita Sodo University (WSU), Ethiopia. He is working as an academic staff member, delivering various courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate students at Ethiopian universities. Besides, he is involved in research and community service activities related to his field of interest. He is a member of various national and international societies, such as the Ethiopian Biological Society, the Ethiopian Cultural and Historical Heritage Society, the Ethiopian Space Science Society, and the African Neuroscientists Society. His research interests are related to wildlife ecology, conservation, and management, and he has published many articles as a first author and co-author. He has international experience in Windhoek, Namibia; Entebbe, Uganda; and Dublin, Ireland. He is involved as a member of the Asian Council of Science Editors and a reviewer of various national and international journals. He is the past head of the biology department, dean of the college of education, director of research and community services, and coordinator of post-graduate programs at the same university. He is currently the managing editor of the Journal of Science and Inclusive Development at WSU and is aggressively working on wildlife conservation and management programs in Ethiopia.
