About

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public and Development Management, which I obtained in 2011 from Mekelle University in Tigray, Ethiopia. My undergraduate studies equipped me with a solid foundation in public administration, policy analysis, and development management. In 2017, I furthered my education at Mekelle University, earning a Master of Arts in Development Studies. My MA thesis, titled "An Analysis of Poverty Dimensions of Urban Households: A Case of Mekelle City, Tigray, Ethiopia," delved into the multifaceted aspects of poverty. This research aimed to descriptively highlight non-monetary poverty dimensions and to construct a multidimensional poverty index for urban households in Mekelle City. The findings revealed significant deprivations in living standards, education, and health among the urban poor.Throughout my academic journey, I have honed my research skills and developed a robust understanding of development issues, which I now apply in my teaching and research activities at Wolaita Sodo University.
