Welcome to College of Education and Behavioural Studies (CoEBS).

College of Education and Behavioural Studies (CoEBS) was founded in 2005 E.C. It is one of the colleges established during the university's inauguration. During its establishment, it had 2 undergraduate programs (UG), 2 Special diploma programs and 1 MA program. Currently, the college has the status of administering 3 UG programs (i.e., Educational Planning and Management, Psychology, and Early Childhood Care and Education), 5 MA programs (i.e., Education Leadership and Management, Curriculum and Instruction, Counselling Psychology, Social Psychology, and Adult Education and Community Development), and 1 PhD program (i.e., Educational Leadership and Policy Studies). 

Moreover, the college renders the Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching (PGDT) in regular, weekend, and summer modalities. For the academic staff members of the university, the college offers the Higher Diploma Program (HDP) in order to enhance pedagogical and reflective skills. The overall mission of the college is to undertake teaching, research, and community engagements geared to bringing about behavioral changes and ensuring the quality of education. 

As a vision, the CoEBS aspires to be the center of excellence in education, psychology, conducting problem-solving research, and training through identifying community problems in order to boost societal transformation and quality of life. Concerning the human capital, the college has a blend of more experienced staff holding terminal degrees and a few young scholars.

 

In conclusion, the college extends its invitation to any interested professionals, government and non-government organizations, civic agencies, and others interested in working collaboratively to improve the quality of education, community development, and societal transformation.
